Escaping your knightly duties because responsibility is to hard for you

The king has asked you to take on responsibilities and you would rather drop dead then be responsible.  So like any sensible person would you run away, you run from the palace escape through a forest, find a small town, and end up being dragged down to the kings dungeon for treason only to escape again. The question is this is what should happen, can you?
